The first three beginner kits have been used in STEAM programs from preschool through post graduate universities in the USA, Japan, and Australia, featured at conferences throughout the USA since 2006 and internationally in Australia and Japan. The past few IFAI E-Textile conferences offered workshops using these kits on the show floor. They contain all the necessary materials to create fiber optic enhanced items from cardboard through machine washable E-Textile clothing. Add lighted effects to purses, T-Shirts, caps, backpacks, pillows, curtains, cardboard, light plastics, and fabrics.

Kit#1 contains a white led, coin cell holder with switch, and two Lithium batteries included with a connector designed to change colors using 6 special filters, 1 bundle of optical fibers, hollow point fiber insertion needle, printed patterns for insertions, printed (English & Japanese) instructions, and free video tutorial.
Kit#2 contains a color-changing LED that flashes and morphs through 7 colors PLUS all of Kit#1 materials (excluding white led and filters)
